Increasing Java's Memory Allotment - Mac

By dmeyer - Posted on 25 September 2009

In order to load the 3D models properly, your computer may need to give Java access to more memory.

First, close all your browser windows.

Go to Applications/Utilities and open Java Preferences.

Mac Java Preferences

In the General tab, select J2SE 5.0 from the 'Java Applet Plugin' box and click the Options button.

Applet Runtime Parameters

Add -Xmx512m as a runtime parameter to the J2SE 5.0. If there are existing parameters, separate them with commas.

If you're running Snow Leopard, add the parameter for both 32-bit and 64-bit modes.
